Wales' footballing successes began – with the exception of their participation in the 1958 World Cup – quite late:

They managed to qualify for a European Championship for the first time until 2016. This broke the spell and the Welsh were then able to qualify for every major tournament ever since.

The Welsh team's first appearance at the European Championship was confirmed in their penultimate qualifying match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they lost 2-0, but were still able to book their ticket to the tournament thanks to Israel's defeat against Cyprus.

This jersey, worn by defender Chris Gunter, who then was still the Welsh international with the most appearances at the time, also dates from that game.

It was signed on the front – but not by Gunter, but for some reason by captain Aaron Ramsey.

The Adidas template comes in alarm red with bright green pinstripes. Wales played the qualifiers without a front number, but with match details. A highlight is the beautiful federation badge that is embroidered into the jersey.
