JAMAICA

Home 1997

Matchworn Theodore Whitmore (presumably) (game unknown)

Manufacturer: Kappa

Source: Collector

There's one thing you can always count on: that Jamaica will take to the pitch in great looking jerseys!

This was particularly the case in the 90s and 2000s, when the “Reggae Boyz” actually wore great shirts throughout. The best of these were certainly the designs from the Italian manufacturer “Lanzera” – or were they made by Kappa? The design of the Jamaican jerseys from 1996/97 was available from both manufacturers. While in 1996 they used Lanzera, from 1997 onwards they curiously wore the identical design, only with a Kappa logo.

No matter which of the two manufacturers: the design is awesome!

Shapes, colors, collars, patterns - the full shebang!

The icing on the cake with my shirt is the fact that it is a player's jersey, which was most likely worn by Theodore Whitmore or prepared for him.
